WHO-WFSA International Standards for a Safe Practice of Anesthesia
As approved unanimously at the General Assembly in Hong Kong the WFSA has
been working diligently to produce the latest update of the International
Standards for a Safe Practice of Anesthesia and is delighted to announce
that this process has now been completed and that – for the first time –
these are jointly endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as
WHO-WFSA Standards.We ask all Member Societies to acknowledge and promote the International
Standards and this extraordinary achievement for our specialty and our
Federation.The standards can be accessed at the below link:

and have been published in both the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia (CJA)
and in Anesthesia & Analgesia (A&A).
